When walking into a home, the most cherished toys are the well-loved, and a bit slobbered on ones; generally resting in the family companions favorite spot. There are plenty of other enjoyable toys, but none quite like that special one that your beloved pet has chosen. When our pets pass on, we are often left with not only the love, joy, and memories of them, but often their favorite toys are still strewn about your home.
Here at Care-A-Lot Pet Supply we believe that just like our own belongings, our pets belongings too can be passed down to the next generation of fun-loving and energetic puppies! That is why at our 11th annual Pet Lovers Extravaganza we featured not only a memorial board to remember the names of your past pets but also a toy donation box. We wanted to give owners the opportunity to either donate a new toy or pass on that lightly loved on toy from your own pet so that another dog who doesn’t have that loving home may find some of the same happiness and joy your dog once felt.
By the end of our event, our memory board was full of names, and our donation box was full of toys donated by both pet parents and companies who all see the importance of bringing a little happiness to local shelter animals. On the last day of the event, the box was overflowing with the outpour of toys and love provided. Though your pet may not have been able to be with you physically at our Pet Lovers Extravaganza, the memories and love you shared will always be a part of Care-A-Lot Pet Supply. Over the course of the weekend there were over 100 toys collected and all of them have been donated to local rescues and shelters.
