Partner Spotlight:
Occasionally, we get a new customer that asks if we sell live pets. While we do have the word “pet” in our name, we prefer to leave the tender love and care of animals looking for homes to the professionals who are already working to make an impact in the Hampton Roads community. That’s why we partner with organizations like Lil Roar Cat Rescue. Did you know they are just down the street from our Diamond Springs store?
Lil Roar Cat Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization driven by volunteers in the community, dedicated to reducing the feral and homeless cat population. Out on the front lines of kitten season, Lil Roar Cat Rescue is working to trap, neuter, and/or adopt out kittens and cats alike. Rescued residents awaiting adoption reside in a variety of care settings, such as their newly renovated shelter space on Diamond Springs Roads and among many loving foster homes where they learn how to live within a home setting.
When Lil Roar visits Care-A-Lot on Indian River Road, you can venture to the back of the store to our event/training room and there you’ll be met with a room full of kittens! You’ll find some chasing balls, climbing shelves, or watching from their kitty play pens. Anyone is welcome, whether you are looking to adopt, or just saying hi. If you do fall in love with a furball, be sure to fill out an adoption application first to start the process.
